Niamh McCarthy, a representative of Ireland in the Discus Throw is a Paralympic and three-time World Championship medallist. Since being discovered at a Talent Search event in 2012 and despite being new to the sport, she quickly rose to prominence.
Winning her first medal in 2015 and consecutive medals over the next 5 years, she became one of Irelands most decorated Paralympians with her final appearance at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
Since retiring from competition, Niamh has qualified as a Personal Trainer and Pilates
instructor. Through her extensive experience as an athlete, she has taken her passion for exercise and is giving back to her community by sharing her knowledge.
