Matteo Gatto

Architect with 20+ years of experience, Matteo Gatto led the Expo Milano 2015 Masterplan and designed the Italian Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020. He collaborates on Expo Belgrade 2027 and curated Rome’s Expo 2030 candidacy dossier. Founder of matteogatto&associati, he advises Roma Capitale on urban regeneration and has worked with top firms like OMA/AMO, Herzog & de Meuron, Steven Holl, and HoK on major international competitions and masterplans. PhD with honours from Politecnico di Milano, he lectured in landscape architecture and taught at leading universities worldwide. His projects were showcased at the Venice Architecture Biennale and other international exhibitions.
