Gustavo combines engineering, business, and sports management with over 20 years of international commercial experience. At FIBA, he built the market intelligence function and helped launch the global competition system.
He led the multi-event sponsorship strategy for FIBA’s top tournaments and today drives key initiatives across the ecosystem, including the creation and growth of eFIBA, FIBA’s dedicated esports property.
His work spans media rights, digital assets, licensing, sponsorship, and the FIBA Academy. Beyond FIBA, he teaches in sports management programmes and co-founded a Lausanne-based sports think tank.
