Shireen Hamdan

Shireen is a Senior Principal and Global Board member at Populous with extensive experience in stadium, arena and convention centre design across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Fluent in Arabic, she leads Populous’ Middle East operations, overseeing major projects including Aramco Stadium, Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, and King Salman International Stadium - potential 2034 World Cup venues. Shireen regular speaks on and advocates for sports design as a catalyst for urban and social development, inspired by her UNHCR thesis on refugee housing and rapid urban growth.
